Meet Lara:

I am a massage therapist and a trained yoga teacher.  I want to ‘be with’ and hold space for people to begin a transformation process from the inside out and the outside in. I am secretly a science geek. I play in the ocean and any water I can find. I live with ‘wild faith’ in the world … even still. I am a sensitive soul with a gritty edge. I am a traveller. I am an adventurer. I am a gardener and study weird and beautiful things like permaculture. I believe deeply in plant medicine. I like words and stories and art. I am learning more about ‘old world’ hydrotherapy including sauna and cold therapies. I am a Vipassana meditator. I am a mover and love to dance, hike, and be as close to nature as possible.. I am a mother. I I believe in transformation and the power of healing. I want to create more peace in the world. I find cultivating screen-free connection to be a great elixir in our often compressed and isolating lives. I offer hands-on (or feet-on) healing to guide you on a journey that can reveal your most vital self.

Bodywork practice:

I fuse western and eastern philosophies and modalities regarding bodywork and massage in looking at the whole person, guided by element theory and a Thai medicine lens.. My practice includes equal parts presence and anatomical training.. Hands-on training includes Swedish massage techniques, deep tissue work, Thai massage, myofascial techniques, positional release, and range of motion modalities. I also have a keen interest in how the mind affects our somatic body and am currently training in somatic interactional therapeuitc technique which involves a nervous system reset.
